Rick Jones was an industrial worker before he became A-Bomb. Him and his buddy were eating lunch watching a new kind of molten steel get mixed. The kind of steel was new to man, it clung itself to humans. Meanwhile the man in the control room fell asleep and bumped a lever. That lever happened to control the beam they were sitting on. It dropped the beam into the molten steel. Rick fell strait into the steel. His friend hit the edge of the vat of steel and got touched by a little of the steel. Josh later became the Hulk but all the virtually impenetrable steel clung to Rick making him what he is today. The A-Bomb.
