Kitty Pryde was the second female member of the X-Men and girlfriend of Bobby Drake.
Childhood[]
Kitty comes from a rather large family. She was raised by gay fathers, but the surrogate mother was present for most of her life. Her mother also got married and had a son named Terry McGinnis. Kitty discovered her powers when she and Terry were playing hide and seek. She was running across the street and didn't notice a truck coming. However, it passed right through her. Terry thought it was awesome and both of her families decided that they were blessed with such an amazing daughter.
X-Men[]
when she turned sixteen, she was sent to Xavier's Boarding School. She was befriended by Jean Grey, since she was the only other girl on the team at the time. The other new kid, Bobby Drake, was also extremely kind to her. It wasn't long until the two of them were going out.
